Olney Rugby Club is now launching a major fundraising initiative to improve the club’s facilities to benefit all current and future playing members of the club.
What do we aim to achieve with your help?
The club has a bundle of improvements to the facilities waiting to go ahead once funds are available. Projects include, a kitchen and plant room extension, additional floodlights and a heating and hot water upgrade to the clubhouse. All sections of the club will benefit from and make use of these improvements when in place. This is your club. This is your opportunity to invest in the future of your club.

Each age group or team is being asked to organise a fundraising event or activity over the next year with monies collected to be allocated to the Olney 2030 Club improvements. This could be a sponsored challenge, raffle or social event – the ideas are limitless!
You are also welcome to make a straightforward donation by Gift Aid. All contributions will be gratefully received. If you can use the Gift Aid form, we can claim back from the government an extra 25p for every pound you donate. For every £1 you donate the club receives £1.25.

A big thankyou to those members who have already donated using Gift Aid.
Unlocking our potential is the club’s 5-year development plan. The improvements to the club’s facilities form part of that plan. The last major fundraising initiative was back in 2007 when Doff’s field was purchased to provide additional pitches. It was the generous contributions of members at the time that made the purchase possible. It is now our turn. We have 485 youngsters playing rugby for Olney. We need to build and develop the club for all these young players, and in turn for their children, and the generations to come.
So why an Olney 2030 Club? 2030 is the target date to complete as much of this as your funding allows. All who do donate will become honorary members of the ‘Olney 2030 Club’ – a small way of recognising your support for the club. To join we ask you to contribute in any way you can. However small or large your contribution, if we all pull together, we can make substantial improvements to the club by 2030.
