Saturday afternoon saw more than a rugby match - it saw a group of friends remember one of their own.
The 3rd XV took on Folkestone RFC in a memorial game for Oliver "Ollie" Patterson. Ollie sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier in the year.
Prior to the game Ollie's family and players gathered at the newly installed memorial bench. This was followed with a minutes applause and then it was game time.
A few nervous players suddenly remembered they hadn't played a game for over 18 months and the strapping and deep heat took a hammering before the ball had been played.
Despite that what followed was a very entertaining 80 mins - with play covering all the pitch
Special mention goes to Ollie's Father , David, who played part of the game
Thanks to Folkestone Rugby Club for making the journey up to Doffs
