After the recent announcements of the Mens Senior and Colts coaching teams for next season, this announcement is for the Ladies team coaching setup for the season…

Director of Rugby Chris Denoven and Head of Girls section Mark Bundy have recently interviewed some credible candidates for our new Ladies Head Coach position in readiness for the season and can confirm that Tom Box has been appointed into the role.

Tom brings a wealth of experience, quality and a deep understanding of the ladies game with him. After starting his coaching journey in St Andrews, Scotland followed by a 6 months stint in New York. Tom has also coached rugby in Rwanda and more recently at Hampsted. After moving to Olney recently, Tom is looking forward to making a new home at Olney RFC.

Additionally, Ellie Hiscock has been named as Captain for next season. Congratulations Ellie – richly deserved… Thank you to Jen Micklewright and Lianne Manley-OReilly for your captaincy over the last few seasons.

As part of this transition, we say a huge thank you to Natasha Howe and Charles Wells, who have chosen to step down from the senior coaching setup. We wish Natasha and Charlie all the best for the future but know they will both be on-hand to support from the sidelines – especially as Natasha is going to assist with the girls team next season.

Furthermore, Chris Day, Andy German and David Rainbow (aka Trout) have accepted to take on the roles of first, second and thirds Team Managers (respectively) for next season. All will bring some structure and organisation to our teams for next season.

It’s exciting times at Olney RFC...
