The Club is pleased to announce G2 Energy as the Player Wellbeing Sponsor.
G2 Energy (G2) is the UK’s leading provider of design and build solutions for the sustainable energy infrastructure.
Founded in 2006, today G2 primarily operates within the renewable energy market, providing High Voltage Electrical and Civil engineering services for large scale engineering projects, including Europe’s largest battery energy storage system.
G2 currently has over 150 employees across the UK and its Head Office is located in town. G2 is fully committed to investing in the growth, development, and wellbeing of our workforce and is a proud to be member of The 5% Club and the Real Living Wage initiative.
Helen Gilbert, G2’s People & Talent Director said:
“G2 Energy is delighted to announce that we are Olney RFC’s official Player Wellbeing Sponsor. We are honoured to be able to support our local rugby club’s pioneering initiative that recognises the importance of their player’s physical & mental health wellbeing”
The Club provides not only physical wellbeing support (access to physios, return from injury support etc) but player mental wellbeing support – this approach is unique in the area.
The player metal wellbeing scheme, provided by Spectrum Life, is essentially and Employee Assistance Programme tuned for an amateur sports club...a Player Assistance Programme, if you will. It offers a free to use, confidential support service to all the Club’s senior players, partners and dependent children.
The service is available 24/7/365, can be accessed anywhere in the world via telephone, app or online platforms.
Marcus Trott, Chair of the Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee said " It's great to welcome another local company to the Club. From our initial conversations, it was obvious we shared a common approach to looking after those who mean the most to us. We look forward to a long, meaningful relationship with G2 Energy"
