The citation for the recipient read – “For over 15 years he has given his time, energy, and expertise as a coach — but over the last four-plus years he has gone even further, taking on the role of Team Operations Manager for the Colts and showing no signs of slowing down.
His contribution behind the scenes is immeasurable. Getting referees sorted, managing opposition fixtures, navigating RFU requirements, signing off players, cooking food for post-match, sorting out any players with allergens….. you name it, he has handled it, quietly and without fuss, year after year. And if the admin side wasn't enough, he has also had to manage something arguably trickier — not one but two Chris' [Day and Denoven] over the past four years. Now, with two more joining the fold, his patience and good humour remain entirely intact. That alone deserves recognition."

We must also mention the nominees:
Andy Atherton - for his role looking after the M&J food offering and wider support to The Club - Andy came into the role at the start of the season and instantly got to work - It was not just M&Js who benefited as Andy work closely with Harry on purchasing for the bar. He worked tirelessly throughout the season even when his own son had decided to take a sabbatical from the game

Mark Bundy – for his work reestablishing girls rugby at Olney RFC - Mark’s effort, time and enthusiasm is setting up a good platform for the future including; Developing a five year strategy, linking with local schools and running taster sessions for girls at the schools. Arranging joint training for the girls with other local clubs, engaged parents and senior players from the Ladies team with the girl’s sessions

Richard Soman - for his exceptional work on the 100 Club this year - His dedication to this has generated more money into the club, more interest into the prize draws and more engagement to the club from a slightly older demographic to the club.

Val Wells - for her continued work at the club this last year and year after year - Her dedication to M&J’s kit sales on Sunday, including the effort involved in recycled kit.. In addition, she has supported first aid whenever asked.
