His son Kevin said, "Dad played for the club from 1955-1975, mostly front row, for many years alongside Roger Wesley and Jock Smail, then after retiring, he and Jock ran the bar upstairs at the Two Brewers for players after games. Latterly, enjoyed watching and having a few(!) beers down the club on Saturdays with his old mates and always enjoyed coach trips to away games with them and also had a couple of vets tours as well. Was also very proud that my son Joe (Colts) is now third generation Driver playing for the club. He loved being associated with the club, and was very proud to wear his club blazer when he could."
