AGM 2025
Thursday 12th June, 8.00pm

This year's AGM will take place on Thursday 12th June at 8pm (immediately following the Doff’s Field AGM). Please find attached the agenda and proxy voting form for those who are unable to attend.

2024/25 has been a great season for Olney RFC with record playing numbers throughout the club with all sections continuing to flourish.

The Men’s 1st XV had a very strong season, finishing 4th in the level 6 league, Regional 2 Midlands East. This is the highest league position ever achieved since playing in the midlands’ leagues. To finish off their playing season they reached the semi-final of the Lewis Shield and the final of the Alliance Cup final. While the game did not go our way (lost 40-53) that was some come back in the second half.

The club has continued to put out 3 senior teams each week at a time when many other clubs have struggled to fulfil fixtures.

The Ladies’ section has also had a positive season, although short on playing numbers at times, they have played hard to maintain their place in National Challenge 2 Midlands South league, finishing 5th

The Mini & Juniors section have had numerous successes in all age groups including at festivals, leagues and cup competitions. We have currently over 460 U18 (includes Colts) active members taking part in age grade rugby. Special mention must go to the colts who not only won their league and the East Midlands Cup and playing in the final of the National Colts Cup final at Sixways Stadium, Worcester against Rosslyn Park U18s. Congratulations to all players and coaches for their successes this season.

It is notable once again this year, to see the number of current and former colts making the transition to senior rugby and represent the club.

We have our AGM on Thursday 12th June, at which we hope to attract a good turnout of members as there is much to celebrate. Key agenda items will be the election and/or re-election of your Executive Committee for 2025-2026 as well as the opportunity to hear about current clubhouse developments and heating/hot water boiler replacement issues. On the same day the Social Club AGM will take place at 7.00pm and the Doff’s Field Ltd AGM at 8.00 pm
