The story so far...
The Colts aim to build upon the strong start to their campaign, recording convincing wins in the early rounds with strong attacking rugby and solid defence that sets the tone for the challenges ahead...
Round 1: Chinnor 20 – 31 Olney
Round 2: Amersham & Chiltern 7 – 52 Olney
Round 3: Harpenden 7 – 43 Olney
Round 4: Olney 50 – 0 Gordano
Sunday is about earning the right to go further...
Let’s look at what this Olney RFC Colts group has done – Unbeaten in any match this season. Four wins in a row in this year’s NCC – with over 170 points scored and just 34 conceded. That’s not luck - that’s commitment, discipline, work rate and the lads doing their job for the teammate next to them.
Momentum and belief matter, and right now this Colts squad has both. The work has been done at training, in the gym, in front of the Veo, and the standards have been set by the lads themselves.
It will be tough. It should be. Quarter-final rugby is about fronting up, staying connected, and taking your moments when they come. Play with courage, trust your systems, and enjoy the challenge the game will bring.
Whatever the scoreboard says at the end, we will make sure Newton Abbot know they’ve been in a proper fight. The lads will leave nothing out there...one team - one effort - 70 minutes ????
