Please find attached the Notice and Call for Nominations for the Olney RFC Ltd 2024 AGM.
2023/24 has been another remarkable season for Olney RFC with a record playing numbers throughout the club with all sections continuing to flourish.

The Men’s 1st XV had a slow start to the season but finished a very secure 6th on the Regional 2 Midlands East league using 54 players during the season. The end of season was capped by 3 cup final stadium appearances in the Lewis Shield and Alliance Cup finals at Franklins Gardens and the Papa Johns Regional 2 North Shield Final at Darlington Mowden Park.
The club has continued to put out 3 senior teams each week at a time when many other clubs have struggled to fulfil fixtures.

The Ladies’ section has had strong playing performances throughout the season but have struggled with players availability for some of the league games. A conceded game and results from not always a full team or bench will see them playing in National 2 Midlands (South) next season.

The Mini & Junior Section girls and boys have had numerous successes in all age groups including at festivals, leagues, and cup competitions. In the East Midlands the U14s and U18s Girls both won their respective cup competitions and the U15s and U16s won their leagues. The Colts won the East Midlands League 1 along with the East Midlands Cup and the Oceanic Cup to complete the local treble.

It is notable once again this year, the number of players in the senior 1st and 2nd XVs, who have come through the ranks of the M&J section at Olney.

We have our AGM on Thursday 27th June, at which we ask for the support of a large numbers of members as there is much to celebrate. A key agenda item will be the election and/or re-election of the Executive Committee (see call for nominations and forms).

On the same day the AGM of the Social Club will take place at 7.00pm and the AGM of Doff’s Field Ltd at 8.00 pm
