The Johnny Wilkinson Cups are awarded each week to players who have been seen by the coaches to play well. It is not awarded for the most tries scored but to the players who have made the most contribution to their team.
Since the start of the season the Johnny Wilkinson Cup has been won by the following players:
Thomas C, George C, Cobie, James V, Samuel S, Robert H, James M, Charlie H. Zachary Parkinson, Jonathon Unger and Charlie Swallow
Most Recent recipients were:
15th April 07 - JW Cup awarded to jacob Wood and Ed Clarke for their excellent defence work and great tagging.
11th March 07 - Oliver Vine and Oliver Davidson received the JW cup this week for their hard work and effort throughout the season
4th March 07 - Jonathan Unger received the JW cup for a man of the match performance at the Tag Competition for the Tigers
26th Feb 07 - Charlie Whelan, Sam Smith and Felix Iles recieved the JW cup this week as they have all made great improvement over the season since starting rugby this year and for the great effort that they put into training this week.
18th Feb 07 - Great performance from the 14 players at Mens Own. JW Cups went to Laurence Cook, Jack Dodd and Johnathan Unger
4th Feb 07 - For showing great improvement over the previous few weeks the JW cup was awarded to- Patrick Bull, Alexander Brand and Louis Fielden
28th Jan. 07- Francis Smith, Ben Brear and Laurence Cook all recieved the award this week for a great effort in the matches against Bedford Blues. The award was mainly given for their good team commitment and their excellent defensive work.
17th Dec.06 -Francis Smith for great play since starting the game very recently
-Dominic Blore-Rimmer for putting in a super effort since the start of the season
10th Dec.06 - Tommy Warn for a great performance today and for consistently playing well all season
- Ben Brear for scoring his first try in a match and playing well all day
4th Dec.06 - Mason Dowd for a faultless two games against Bedford Blues scoring tries and being excellent in defence
26th Nov.06 - Issac Soul for an excellent performance against Stewart and Lloyds
- Luke Fahey for trying hard during practice at Olney
