Under 8's 2006-7

The U8's are doing really well this season with 34 kids registered and regular attendance of around 18. The wet season is not putting kids off the beautiful game and are starting tackling practice ready for next years move to the U9's contact game, so a reminder that you should get a gum shield for your kids.

2006-2007 Club Dinner and Annual Awards,

Its been a fantastic yrear for the Under 8's winning 4 out of 6 tournaments that we entered and runners up in the other 2. All the squad have improved beyond expectations and in the last 6 months have proved that moving onto next year contact game will be done without any problems.

Olney win Kettering Tournament against Rushden

The happy band of coaches and helpers for this season include the following:

Lloyd Warn - Head Honshow - 41 years old, missing teeth, big W on forhead. Been playing for Olney for last 18 years when selected, not injured or his wife lets him. His own kids have scored more try's in one season than in the whole of his career. Enjoys the lighter side of rugby and can often be found in the members bar still telling the same old stories and talking over everyone else's. Generally can be heard before seen as his previous career in football taught him to put one foot down and open his mouth at the same time.

Baz Simpson - Old Guy with grey hair, been round the block a bit, but has stunning younger wife that keeps him in check. Bit of an old woman and worries too much hense the grey hair and currently in charge of the Mini and Junior Sections administration side to which he is doing a splendid job.

Dave "Captain" Combes - Fixtures Guro, he's the tall guy walking about with a ring binder. His own kids know more about rugby than him. Also know as "all night Dave", ask the lovelly Mrs C ,also photo'd, if you require more information.

Steve McKenzie - An alround lovelly guy although did play for Bletchley in a previous life and lives part time in Wales., has helped out immensely this season.

Basher Panto

Basher - Happy-go-Lucky, short, fat guy, Club legend. Say no more......

Debbie Warn - Loving wife of Lloyd and proud mum of two kids.. Recently was given her mothers Hostess Food trolley and has gone vegetarian after cooking too many bacon rolls. The best multi tasking supremo in the club. Generally can be bribed to do anything with a double vodka (well nearly anything).
