Latest NewsU10's East Midlands MOBBS Champions 2009 (April 07, 2009)The Under 10's made the trip to Goldington Road to play in the 2009 MOBBS Memorial Final against Luton last night. Team spirit was high, the sun was shinning and the smell of the burger vans filled the packed stadium of 4606 people, inspiring Olney to a 20 - 5 victory against a strong, well drilled Luton team.
Luton kicked off with the advantage of the notorious slope of the pitch but Olney held firm with some excellent defence and then managed to break throught the Luton line for Basi Combes to score our first try.
Luton to their credit picked up their game and scored a very good try of their own. Not purturbed Olney fought back and after some excellent running rugby Eliot Simpson went over the try line again for Olney.
Half time came and with Olney 10 - 5 up and inspiring words from the coaches Warn and Lay, Olney with the help of the slope scored a further 2 trys from Jack Dalton to win a magnificent victory.
