We're in the last 3 in 2 categories!

It's fantastic to get down to the last three in this competitive category. We are always looking at ways to improve Olney RFC for our members, and we're very proud to have such a strong volunteer force to help us achieve our ambitions.
- Club Chairman, Paul James

From over 100 entries, Olney RFC has succeeded in being shortlisted to the last three in two categories at the 2016 Bucks and MK Sports Awards.

Club of the Year category looks for clubs which link into the community, value their volunteers and which are achieving both on and off the sports field. Chairman of Olney RFC Paul James said: "It's fantastic to get down to the last three in this competitive category. We are always looking at ways to improve Olney RFC for our members, and we're very proud to have such a strong volunteer force to help us achieve our ambitions."

Girls section manager Mike Bebbington has been shortlisted for Volunteer of the Year, recognising the work he has put into establishing and nurturing Olney's Girls squad which has gone from strength to strength since it was set up four years ago. Last year the Girls U18 team reached the National Cup semi finals, two players have got England representative honours and many of the squad play for regional sides. Their success is largely due to Mike's hard work behind the scenes.

The award winners will be announced at a special event on Friday, 18 November.
