Entries are now invited to Olney 7s 2017. This year’s event takes place on Saturday 24th June at Olney RFC in a day packed full of excellent rugby and socialising.

The Brakspear Men’s Open Tournament has a cash prize of £500 to our winning team, with a £250 prize for the runners-up. This tournament is a local qualifying event for England Rugby’s 24 Sevens Series. The winning team will have the opportunity to progress to the regional and national events if they are successful at each level.

The Stimpson Eves Men’s Social Tournament is aimed at players who are mainly over 30 or play in lower club, work or other social sides.

Entry to all tournaments is £125 per squad of 12 players; Registration on the day is between 9:45am and 10:15am, and the first matches will kick-off at 10:30am. All tournaments are expected to finish at approx 6.30 pm with presentations to the winning teams

The event includes:

Lions first test match live in the clubhouse (8.35 am KO)
At least 3 ‘pool’ games
All teams progress to the knockout stages
Trophy, Plate, Shield and Bowl competitions
Complimentary pitch side physio support
Complimentary T shirt for all players
Complimentary ‘jug’ of Brakspear Bitter for each team
Free entry for supporters and spectators
Space for team gazebo or small marquee
BBQ and other food on sale plus an all day bar.
Evening social with live band, hog roast and much more

The day includes activities for children and all the family with the social side continuing into the night with live band and a hog roast.
