Meet the Coach - Dan Seal

9 months ago By Kath Middleditch

New skills coach for Olney RFC

As the season approaches, it's a good time to meet a new face in Olney's coaching team.

Dan Seal, 37, who was born in Bath, takes up the role of Specialist Skills Coach for the senior squad.

Taking his inspiration from the legendary Gareth Chilcott, "Rattler" or "Sealer" as he's otherwise known as, was previously a forwards coach at Cambridge RFC. Dan brings great experience to the club and has ambitions to improve every player who trains with the squad.

Dan's played rugby since the age of 6 where he started at Frome RFC, and got to the high level of playing England Counties. He also had a run out at Twickenham, playing for Cornish Pirates when they won the EDF Trophy in 2007.

He's not just wedded to the oval shaped ball either - Dan's also a qualified Rounders and Dodge Ball coach!

Great to have you on board Dan - welcome from everyone at Olney RFC.
