The 1st XV captaincy has been awarded to long standing player Gareth Cahill. Most often found making an impact from the back row, Gareth has played at Olney for many years and describes the captaincy as "the pinnacle" of his playing career.
"I've been at Olney RFC since I was a junior player," says Gareth. "I've played for the senior sides for many years, with a time away whilst I was in the Army; but gaining the captaincy is the dream."
Euan Irwin, who plays centre, takes up the vice captaincy for the club; and Jim Osborn continues his contribution to Olney as club captain.
Congratulations to all, and good luck for the season ahead!
